Rushton Turbine Agitator: The Rushton turbine is a widely used agitator in bioreactors. It consists of multiple flat blades mounted on a vertical shaft. The rotating turbine generates axial flow and creates a vortex pattern, ensuring efficient mixing and oxygen transfer in the culture medium.
Marine Impeller: The marine impeller is a specialized agitator designed for bioreactors with high-viscosity or non-Newtonian fluids. It has a unique blade design that generates high flow rates, promoting mixing and minimizing shear stress on sensitive microorganisms.
Pitched Blade Impeller: The pitched blade impeller is commonly used in bio fermenters for mixing viscous or non-Newtonian fluids. It consists of blades that are angled with respect to the shaft, creating radial flow patterns and enhancing mixing efficiency.
